The avatar is from the movie The Shawshank Redemption based on a Stephen King short story and is essentially about the relationship between Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) and Mr. Magic Man, Ellis Boyd 'Red' Redding (Morgan Freeman).
Two men from completely different backgrounds that are thrown together by circumstances as they serve very long sentences in The Maine State Penitentary, they slowly become trusted friends as Andy converts Red and his gang into his friends with his Fear can hold you prisoner, Hope can set you free no matter what attitude.
This powerful movie portrays a lot about hope, redemption, friendship and perseverance. The actual scene in the avatar is one where Red and Andy get a rare moment of pleasure as they watch the beautiful Rita Hayworth as a femme fatale sing the song "Put the Blame on Mame" in her famous scene from the movie Gilda in the prison movie house. Both men are mesmerised by Hayworth's sexual beauty on the screen.
Not many people who visit this forum have not seen Shawshank but if anyone out there has somehow missed it, run don't walk down to Blockbuster and rent it.
